The FDIC and OCC have released their Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examination schedules for the second and third quarters of 2026. The schedules identify institutions expected to undergo CRA evaluations between April 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026.

Federal regulators are required to publish CRA examination schedules in advance of each quarter. The schedules provide advance notice to institutions and allow community members the opportunity to submit comments regarding a bank’s CRA performance prior to the examination.

As a reminder, CRA public file components must be updated annually by April 1st. A few pieces of the file to pay attention to are the prior year’s loan-to-deposit ratio, branch listing updates, and written public comments received regarding CRA performance.

Banks included on the schedule should use this time to ensure that CRA documentation, public files, and community development activities are properly maintained and organized in preparation for the examination.
