FinCEN has issued a Notice informing about ongoing efforts related to the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020 requirements pertaining to antiquities and art trades. The Notice provides information about illicit finance risks and specific instructions for filling SARs related to trade in antiquities and art. Crimes relating to antiquities and art may include looting or theft, the illicit excavation of archaeological items, smuggling, and the sale of stolen or counterfeit objects.
